Why the Thackeray Family’s Latest “Unity” Pitch is About Survival—Not Service

As Maharashtra gears up for the 2025 elections, the state isn’t witnessing a resurgence in governance—it’s watching yet another rerun of a tired political soap opera. This time, the spotlight is on Raj Ji and Uddhav Thackeray Ji, hinting at a family reunion masked as concern for the Marathi Manus. But make no mistake: this isn’t unity—it’s political survival camouflaged in sentiment.
Reunion or Rebranding?
This sudden show of harmony comes conveniently close to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) elections. A civic body that was once UBT’s crown jewel—now lost. A language row? Perfect timing. Manufacturing outrage and reviving old wounds is the easiest way to distract from collapsing electoral relevance.
UBT has lost the BMC after 25 years.MNS failed to win even one seat in 2024.When power fades, old rivals become new photo ops. But Maharashtra deserves vision, not nostalgia.
UBT's Hindutva: Words Worn Like Wardrobe
Uddhav Thackeray Ji now claims to protect “real Hindutva.” But his political choices speak louder than any speech.
Allied with Congress and the Left—parties that mocked Ram Mandir for decades.
Silent during the historic Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya.
Flip-flopped on the RSS, Article 370, and CAA—then calls BJP “fake Hindutva”.

MNS & the Marathi Manus Myth
Raj Thackeray's political career began with firebrand speeches for the “Marathi Manus”. Two decades later, the results are empty slogans and electoral decline.
MNS Track Record
2019: Contested 110 seats, won 1.
2024: Lost even that.
Promised job portals, skill initiatives—none delivered.
Curiously, while speeches glorify Marathi-medium education as the soul of regional pride, Raj Thackeray’s own son attended one of Mumbai’s premier English-medium institutions. Sometimes, the loudest voices for cultural purity make the quietest exceptions at home
Emotional Triggers. No Tangible Progress.
UBT and MNS have weaponized identity—language, religion, migration—for votes. But where are the outcomes?
Mumbai floods still paralyze us.
Unemployment still haunts youth.
Women’s safety, public transport, law enforcement—still broken.
The politics of division has only divided voters—not solved problems. Sentiment is not a substitute for service.
BJP: Results, Not Reels
While others perform, BJP delivers. That’s the difference.
₹12,721 crore invested in the Mumbai Metro & Coastal Road.
1,000+ Skill India Centres across Maharashtra.
₹6 lakh crore in fresh investments post Davos.
AI, robotics, drone tech—all in Marathi, through the Skill India Digital Hub.
And on the ground? I’m not a big neta. I’m just a basic BJP karyakarta—taught by the party to serve, not to show off. When over 200 students at Wilson College faced debarment, I did what any swayamsevak would: quietly stepped in, resolved the issue, and ensured their future stayed on track.
From helping the Marathi Manus with civic issues to mentoring youth who need support—I believe in seva, not shor. That’s the BJP way. And just like me, crores of BJP karyakartas across Bharat carry the same mindset. Because our party has always taught us one thing above all: Nation First, Self Last.
Maharashtra 2025: Your Real Choice
This election isn’t about cousins reuniting. It’s about you.
Do we want drama or development?
Divisive speeches or delivered policies?
Slogans or skill centres?
Maharashtra deserves growth, grit, and grounded leadership.
“The real Marathi Manus is not a pawn in family politics. He’s a builder of Bharat’s future. And that’s who the BJP stands with.”- Adv Raj Saraf (Bharatiya Janata Party Karyakarta)
